Q) Can I keep my home number confidential?
A) Yes. Your personal information will remain confidential. Your home phone number will not appear on anyone's caller ID.

Q) Will I be making sales or fundraising calls?
A) No. OnPoint@Home is not looking for donations or selling any products or services. We deal in ideas and opinions.

Q) What are the minimum technical requirements?
A) A Windows-based PC (Windows 2000 or newer) with Internet Explorer, land line phone, and high-speed Internet connection (such as DSL or cable). Sorry, no Macs.

Q) Does it cost me anything to work with OnPoint@Home?
A) No. Advocacy Coordinators use OnPoint@Home's cutting-edge technology, which enables you to work from home without having to pay long-distance charges. There is no cost to you for using the system. However, please note that monthly fees and charges for your Internet connection and land line phone service are your responsibility.

Q) What is the pay?
A) Advocacy Coordinators are retained at $12 per hour and are classified as independent contractors. Bonus opportunities are available for Advocacy Coordinators during peak periods and are at the sole discretion of OnPoint@Home.

Q) How do I get paid?
A) Checks are distributed on a weekly basis.

Q) What types of issues will I work on?
A) OnPoint Advocacy is a bipartisan firm that works on a broad range of business-oriented issues, ranging anywhere from energy to health care. We do not engage in traditional social issues.

Q) How long do projects generally last?
A) Advocacy Coordinators are retained on a project-by-project basis. Most projects last between 2 and 12 weeks. At the end of each project, qualified Advocacy Coordinators will have the opportunity to sign up for a new project on a case-by-case basis. In calendar year 2006, there were only four days where we did not have work available for our team, and 2007 looks to be even busier!

Q) What makes an ideal Advocacy Coordinator?
A) There are two key skills necessary for being an effective Advocacy Coordinator. First, OnPoint@Home is looking for individuals with strong communication skills. Every Advocacy Coordinator must have a professional and courteous phone manner and be able to simplify complex issues so that they are easily understood. Second, we expect each Advocacy Coordinator to be a competent writer who can accurately convey in writing the information provided by advocates.

Q) How is the work schedule set?
A) Every Advocacy Coordinator has the flexibility to set his or her own schedule between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday. A minimum of 25 hours per week is requested.
